‘Dune: Prophecy‘ is a science fiction drama television series set in the ‘Dune’ universe and is a prequel to the 2021 film ‘Dune.’ Ten thousand years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ follows two Harkonnen sisters (Valya and Tula Harkonnen) as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
Co-developed by Diane Ademu-John and Alison Schapker, ‘Dune: Prophecy’ stars Emily Watson playing the role of Valya Karkonnen (leader of the Sisterhood) and Olivia Williams as Tula Harkonnen (Valya’s sister and a Reverend Mother), and also stars Travis Fimmel (as Desmond Hart), Jodhi May (as Empress Natalya), Mark Strong (as Emperor Javicco Corrino), Sarah-Sofie Boussnina (as Princess Ynez), Shalom Brune-Franklin (as Mikaela), Faoileann Cunningham (as Sister Jen), Aoife Hinds (as Sister Emeline), Chloe Lea (as Lila), Jade Anouka (as Sister Theodosia), Chris Mason (as Keiran Atreides), Josh Heuston (as Constantine Corrino), Edward Davis (as Harrow Harkonnen), Tabu (as Sister Francesca), and Jihae (as Reverend Mother Kasha Jinj).
This film is based on Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson’s 2012 novel ‘Sisterhood of Dune,’ of the ‘Dune’ universe created by ‘Frank Herbert in his 1965 novel. Kevin J. Anderson is also a producer of the series. Executive producers for the project are Diane Ademu-John, Alison Schapker, Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Matthew King, John Cameron, Cait Collins, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, and Dana Calvo.

‘Dune: Prophecy’ has six episodes due to be released between November 2024 and December 2024.
