“Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” – Trailer Review

INTRODUCTION:

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadowsis the second film in the new Sherlock Holmes franchise. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr. returning as the intelligent and charismatic detective, Sherlock Holmes. The film is due for release on December 16, 2011 and is directed by Guy Ritchie.

PLOT: 10/10

The plot revolves around Sherlock and his best friend Watson (Jude Law) on a mission to stop Professor Moriarty (Jared Harris) from bringing upon the world a new batch of evil. Moriarty is of equal intelligence to Holmes and is a true adversary. They come across a fortune teller (Noomi Rapace) and enlist in her help.

VISUAL EFFECTS: 10/10

The visual effects in the film are an improvement from 2009’s Sherlock Holmes, which is saying quite a lot due to the amazing effects the first film featured.

CAST: 10/10

The cast is top notch as the previous film had shown. The talent here is vivid and intriguing.

TOTAL: 10/10

The film is a must see of 2011 and is due to bring back the old-fashioned mystery genre to popularity.
