Written and directed by Michael Merino, ‘Clutch‘ is a drama action-thriller film about a ride-hailing driver who is hijacked by a criminal on the run from his crime boss, setting in motion a series of events that place both their lives in peril.
‘Clutch’ stars Sadie Katz who plays the role of a struggling rideshare driver named Tonya, Kaiwi Lyman (as Xavier), Augie Duke (as Rally), Mike Ferguson (as Tartalo), Eva Hamilton (as Deah), Dan Istrate (as Lucius), Jessica Uberuaga (as Butterfly), David W Bailey (as Speed), Joe Barlam (as Teddy), with Michael Pare (as Marty) and Vernon Wells (as Fuentes). The story is partially inspired by true events, based on the story of a real-life car-jacking of a female rideshare driver who was taken hostage by a criminal on the run from his less-than-law-abiding accomplices, who were involved in a deleterious enterprise that was never solved. Michael Merino and Randy Charach produced the film.
