Watch Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose in the Official Trailer for ‘Love Hurts’ – Release Date

Jonathan Eusebio makes his directorial debut with ‘Love Hurts,’ an action comedy film telling the story of a realtor who is pulled back into the life he left behind after his former partner-in-crime resurfaces with an ominous message. With his crime-lord brother on his trail, he must confront his past and the history he never fully buried.

‘Love Hurts’ stars Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan, who plays a Milwaukee suburbs realtor named Marvin Gable, and Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose, playing Rose, a former partner-in-crime he had left for dead. The film also stars Daniel Wu as Knuckles (Marvin Gable’s brother), Sean Astin, Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Rhys Darby, Marshawn Lynch, André Eriksen, and Cam Gigadet. The screenplay is written by Matthew Murray, Josh Stoddard, and Luke Passmore. The film is produced by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch of 87North, the producers of the groundbreaking action films ‘Nobody,’ ‘Violent Night,’ ‘Bullet Train,’ ‘Atomic Blonde’ and ‘The Fall Guy.’ Guy Danella is also producing, with executive producer Ben Ormand.

In the ‘Love Hurts’ film trailer, Marvin Gable (Ke Huy Quan) is a seemingly happy character as a top-selling, bubbly, happy, and friendly realtor. Things take a turn when a red envelope arrives for Valentine’s Day from Rose, his former partner-in-crime. Marvin’s brother sends his men to find Rose’s location after she had stolen money from him. Marvin then gets beat up by his brother’s men and has to resort to fighting back. The martial arts moves play out in a quick fashion, with comedy lightening the mood.
