‘The Monkey’: A Creepy Horror Film Starring Theo James and Elijah Wood – Trailer and Release Date

Directed by Osgood Perkins, ‘The Monkey‘ is a R-rated (for excessive violence) film about twin brothers Bill and Hal who find their father’s old mysterious wind-up monkey toy in the attic. Then, a series of gruesome deaths tear their family apart. The siblings decide to throw the toy away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years. Twenty-five years later, the monkey begins a new killing spree, forcing the estranged brothers to confront the cursed toy.

‘The Monkey’ stars Theo James (as Hal / Bill), Elijah Wood (as Ted Hammerman), Tatiana Maslany (as Lois, Hal and Bill’s mother), Christian Convery (as young Hal / Bill), Colin O’Brien (as Petey, Hal’s son), Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy (as Hal and Bill’s Aunt Ida).

‘The Monkey’ is a film adaptation written by Osgood Perkins, based on the 1980 short story by Stephen King. The film was produced by Dave Caplan, Michael Clear, Chris Ferguson, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and James Wan.
