The new trailer has just been released for the spidey reboot, and it’s looking a lot more serious in tone than its predecessors, which may give the new series some credibility. Andrew Garfield does seem to suit the part, and the rest of the casting seem strong too. What appeared to be a double edged sword though was the sequence where Spiderman swings through New York. The intriguing part was that it was from his point of view, which provides a fresh look to the film. Yet on the other hand the CGI looked a bit unconvincing and we were lacking a bit of visual excitement. This could change with the final cut so no hasty judgements just yet.
In any case this looks to be a promising start to what could be a new, long running franchise.
