Machine Gun Preacher is based on a true story about a former drug-dealing biker guy named Sam Childer (Gerard Butler) who finds God. The experience changes his life, in that he decides to go to East Africa where he becomes a soldier and helps hundreds of Sudanese children and repairs their homes that were destroyed by the civil war.
