Back in June Paramount pulled G.I. Joe: Retaliation off their summer schedule and moved it to next spring, supposedly for a 3D upgrade but most likely because of poor test screenings and a lack of Channing Tatum. The flick’s been retooled and spruced up, so now Paramount has to start promoting the movie all over again, even though Retaliation toys have been on shelves for months.
I’ll be honest: Retaliation may be awful, but the trailers are freaking great. I’m on record as a fan of the first film in a “so bad it’s good way,” and hopefully Retaliation will deliver the same type of experience. We’ll find out when the film is released in March of 2013.
Unless Paramount pulls it again.
