At just over thirty seconds it’s a very short teaser, but it certainly succeeds at reminding us of Pixar’s beautiful underwater epic. I’m presuming this will play before Disney’s re-release of Beauty and the Beast this weekend, and it’ll surely be a beautiful sight to behold in 3D. The Pixar films will probably look a lot better than Disney’s traditionally animated pictures, given the digital source and innate sense of three dimensions. The 3D used for The Lion King was pretty serviceable, and I’m interested to check out Beauty and the Beast this weekend. Presumably this transfers will only get better as time goes on and the money continues to roll in. The Lion King 3D made major bank this past September, and I expect Finding Nemo 3D will do the same.
Finding Nemo 3D is scheduled for release on September 14th, 2012.
The film will arrive for the first time on BluRay shortly thereafter.
