Check Out The Poster For “The Lone Ranger”

I really like this poster. It’s a cool design, evocative and smart and completely devoid of the floating head syndrome most contemporary posters get stuck with.

I’m hearing tons of odd things about Lone Ranger‘s production, so I’m really curious to see the finished product. Disney got involved with this in the hopes of a simple reboot, but Gore Verbenski has set it up as a true auteur blockbuster. This could turn out to be great, or it could go in the complete opposite direction. I can’t see this turning into anything middle of the road. The recent move to the July 4th weekend is definitely a vote of confidence.

The Lone Ranger hits theaters on July 3rd, 2013.
