There have been rumors since March of 2009 that there might be another Bridget Jones Diary movie. Entertainment Weekly has reported is that the film is to set enter production and Title Films which made the first two movies confirmed the news that the film is in the works.
Bridget Jones Diary is based off a novel by Helen Fielding that was released in 2001 which made $281 million world wide. In 2004 Bridget Jones Diary: The Edge of Reason which is the sequel earned $262 million. The author is writing the third book and also on the third film. Helen told Evening Standard, “That in the book Bridget and Mark are trying to have a baby.” But she does not know if the movie is going to be the same yet. Colin Firth has commented to Access Hollywood that “I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children.” There is another report that Renee Zellweger is going to wear a fat suit this time instead of the gaining extra pounds like she did in the first two movies. Who knows if Hugh Grant is going to be in this movie we just have to wait and see.
